HDR photos

1. What manipulations to the camera will you need to make to create an HDR image?
You need to adjust the exposure of each photo

2. What equipment will we use to take this type of image?
you could use a tripod and HDR photo-bend software

3. What is the reason someone might take an HDR image?
They might take on to capture ethe detail of the setting and to really show how it looks because our eyes already see it in HDR

4. What can we expect to happen with the images once we merge them together, what will we see that we might not have seen with just one photo?
We will see a lot of light and more detail in the photos.

Final Exam Planning warm-up

Cooking utensils and food, or a frisbee and some people

5. Make sure to describe the process, by this I mean, where will you use the video portion, where will you use still images, where will your narration be, etc?
For cooking plan on video tapping creating or pouring items in the pan and for the images i will use stirring, flipping, and chopping items. But for frisbee i will video a glow in the dark frisbee flying through the sky and for images I will capture people catching and throwing the frisbee.

My Opinion Story

Through out Texas most students are in school for about 7 hours a day and in school 5 days a week, but to the school boards across the U.S.  are pitching the idea of making the next upcoming school year days longer, which could be a very bad idea.

Because the normal school day goes form 9 to 4:20, students already don't have much time to do homework, relax, eat dinner, and do extracurricular activities. And a lot of students struggle already trying to do their obligations, but if school is extended then more students could start to fail.

But if the school board did extend the days then students could have more time to learn and teachers could go slower in teaching their lessons. But, while students could learn as a class their would be less people and time for students to go to tutoring.

Although if the school board were to extend the days then a lot of make up days from bad weather could be luckily avoided. But if you would ask the students about this, most of them would argue to make school days not as long because it would be even worse than making up a day.

So I think that  schools would more greatly be affected or benefit if they keep the school days shorter so students could have more time to do outside activities like homework, tutoring, work, and extracurricular activities.

Another thing that the school board has talked about has been the removal of some of the students late start days which could possibly help with the problem of make up days.

And if the board were to get all of our late start taken away, then the possibility of adding hours to the day could maybe go away. But some students might not like this new rule i bet they would rather have no late starts and less hours at school than vice-versa

But there are solutions to the issue of makeup days that do not require late starts to be taken from the students.

And sadly students would spend about 4 more days of school and would spend an additional 224 hours at school. This means that the students would lose multiple days worth of time for homework, extra curricular activities, and some time for people who need to be tutored.  You would also lose a lot of time to just relax and hang out with friends or go out to eat with your family.

So if the school days are made longer, then slot of students could start to get migraines or become very negative towards everything that they hear or do. And in conclusion school would become a lot worse and could cause a lot more problems then usual.

Story Rewrites

First Story

53 year old, California native, Janice Jones was shot in the leg by her dog ,at 10 pm on Wednesday, when the dog knocked a 9mm handgun off of a table, which discharged it.
She was taken to the hospital, and is expected to be alright, except she may end up bang charged for the incident.
The bullet hit her in the back of the leg and she was lucky because this very bad situation could have been a lot worse for her.
“It could have been worse,” California Highway Patrol liaison Tammy Rye said, “The bullet hit two inches away from the gas tank.”
A animal control officer filed an animal abuse file because her dog was found very malnourished and had fresh cigarette burns on its forehead.
“It could have done with a little less abuse and a little more of those pork chops.” Animal control officer, Janet Ngo said.
Jones has though about this in her time in the hospital, and has finally some to a conclusion.
“I guess this is a sign, i kinda deserved it.” Jones said.

Second Story

At 8:12 a.m. , in the San Fransisco bay, an area got struck by a powerful earthquake that destroyed many homes, and took many lives.
the earthquake shook up many people, and was very destructive. But those people plan to rebuild new homes and become stronger if another earth quake hits in the future.
The building of McHenry’s auto supply at 2342 Plum street partially collapsed, and sadly two people were killed, and six were also injured.
“Names of the dead are being withheld pending notifications of families,” Public information officer from the Hayward fire department Jennifer Vu said.
Hayward firefighters used ropes to stabilize the auto supply shop, conducting a search of the building and capped a gas line, after detecting a gas leak at the site of the collapse.
“I was eating my breakfast when the room started rolling. I dove under that table just as soon as I heard an explosion outside and a chunk of cement flew through my kitchen window. That’s when the screaming started across the street,” Hayward resident, Mike Beamer said.
The epicenter of the earth quake was underneath the Hayward hills, and had a massive magnitude of 6.4 on the Richter scale.
“The quake was a strong one,” Scientist Penny Gurtz said, “It occurred on the fault, which runs under the hills.”
People as far south as Los Angeles, and as far north as Redding felt the quake.

Nut Graff

The Nut Graf tells the reader where the story is going and usually happens after the lead paragraph. It tells the reader why they should keep reading and explains the significance of the story. A good nut graf should help direct the reader's understanding for the theme of the story and is like a brief summary.

The Nut Graf should be quick and straight to the point. It can range from a single sentence to a paragraph. It is usually the second paragraph, though it sometimes appears third. It should elaborate on the lead of the story, and should cover the five Ws and the one H, if it was not covered in the lead. The Nut Graf is a crucial part of the story because it basically sums up what you are about to read.
