-I thought the the most powerful images were from where he was in iraq because you could see that he is scared.
How do the images work together to tell a story?
-They work together because they are in chronological order so you know what he goes through over time.
E. For the photos in which Ian is the main subject of the photos, in what tense are the verbs usually written?
-The verbs are in present tense.
For those of you who have forgotten your verb tenses see the example below.
Present Tense: John jumps down the stairs.
Past Tense: John jumped down the stairs.
F. How do the captions enhance the photographs?
-The captions help to tell the story as it moves on.

G. Summarize the story of Ian Fisher, based just on the captions.
-Ian was a big guy who was very close to his friends and got into trouble a lot. He was drowning in school and it was very hard for him so he decided to join the army. When he joined it was very hard for him to leave his family and friends behind.
